Bradford is an Ohio village that is situated in Darke and Miami counties. In 2010, Bradford had a population of approximately 1,842 people according to the United States Census Bureau. The village was platted in 1865 and incorporated in 1871. The village is named in honor of Tom Bradford, a railroad official.
Despite it being a smaller village, there are many things to see and do around Bradford. The village hosts many community events such as the Bradford Pumpkin Show. The annual festival features an array of activities, food, games, contests, and more. Many residents often spend time in Greenville, an Ohio city that is located 12 miles west of Bradford. Greenville is home to many attractive things to see and do including a county historical museum and a national park. Also located in Greenville are many dining and shopping opportunities located around the city’s beautiful downtown.
Bradford experiences summers that are usually mild in comparison to other parts of the country. Daytime temperatures during June, July, and August range from the low to mid-80s on average. However, Bradford is not immune to heat waves, causing temperatures to rise into the 100s.
