Troy, Ohio is a city located in Miami County. The city was platted in 1807 and a post office has operated in the city since 1824. The city serves as the county seat of Miami County and has a population of about 25,000 people. Troy is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the 61st largest city in the state.

There are several attractions located in Troy. The city is well known for hosting the annual Strawberry Festival on the first weekend of every June. The festival has been taking place for 40 years and features a softball tournament, races, a children’s parade, food, crafts, games, and much more. Troy is also home to several other attractions including the Miami Shores Golf Course, the Troy Skate Plaza, Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, a water park, and more.

Individuals who are living in Troy or are relocating to the area should invest in both heating and cooling systems for their homes. The city is located in a climate that experiences four distinct seasons. Summer is often warm and humid and winter is often cold and wet.
